Your passport, translated and certified — identity that works in any language

The passport is the identity document behind every other filing — and when its data page, stamps or annotations are not in the receiver’s language, a certified translation makes them official. EKO 4 delivers it word for word, by a sworn human translator, with a signed certificate of translation accuracy on official letterhead and our wet stamp — backed by our 100% acceptance guarantee, from any of our 72 languages, into English or from English for use abroad.

Passports are precision work: names transliterated from Cyrillic, Arabic or Chinese must match the machine-readable zone and your prior filings exactly, or the mismatch follows you through every later application. Each passport translation is prepared by an accredited linguist and reviewed by a native-speaking proofreader before certification. Since 1991 we strive to be the most affordable, the most accurate, providing the best quality of service — with express 24-hour delivery when your appointment is close.

What USCIS and foreign authorities require from a passport translation

USCIS (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)) and foreign receivers expect the same core package — every certified translation we deliver meets it:

  • A complete, word-for-word translation of the required pages — the bio-data page with every field, plus stamps, visas and amendment pages when your receiver requires them — nothing summarized, nothing skipped.
  • Names consistent with your records — transliterated names match the machine-readable zone and, when you tell us, the spelling used in your prior filings — the consistency officers check first.
  • The translator’s signed certification — a statement that the translator is competent in both languages and that the translation is accurate and complete, with name, signature, address and date.
  • An independent, professional translator — translations made by the passport holder or family members are rejected — the translator must be an impartial third party.
  • Notarization only when the receiver asks — USCIS does not require it; foreign banks, registries and consulates usually do — we notarize and apostille in the same order when needed.

How it works

1

Send a photo or scan

Upload the bio page — and any stamp or visa pages your receiver needs — through the free estimate form or the online order wizard. Your passport stays with you.

2

Get a free exact quote

Most passport orders are the bio page only — we confirm exactly which pages you need, the price and the deadline before you pay anything.

3

Sworn translation & certification

An accredited translator renders every field with your names matched to the machine-readable zone, a native proofreader reviews it, and we attach the signed certificate of accuracy.

4

Delivery your way

Digital copy by email — as fast as 24 hours — plus a physical copy with wet stamps by mail or office pickup.

Passport translation — questions & answers

1My passport already has some English on it — do I still need a translation?
Sometimes not — many passports are bilingual, and if every field your receiver needs is already in English, a translation may be unnecessary. But stamps, visas, amendments and names printed in non-Latin scripts are another matter. Send us your passport scan and we will tell you for free whether you need a translation at all — and of which pages.
2Do you translate just the bio page or the whole booklet?
Whatever your receiver requires. Most orders are the bio-data page only; travel-history cases add the stamp and visa pages. You get an exact free quote for precisely the pages you need — never pay for pages nobody asked for.
3I need my passport translated for a foreign bank or a property purchase abroad — how does that work?
We translate your passport from English into the destination language, notarize the certified translation, and obtain the Florida apostille on it — the package foreign banks, notaries and registries expect — all in one order, with the apostille as fast as 4 business days.
4My name is spelled differently across my documents — which spelling will the translation use?
The translation follows your passport’s machine-readable zone, and when your prior filings use an established spelling, tell us — our translators keep it consistent and note the transliteration in the certification, so no name mismatch trips up your application later.
5How fast can you translate my passport?
The bio page is a single page, which makes passports one of our fastest documents: express 24-hour service is available, and urgent orders are often ready the same day. Notarization is ready the next business day when your receiver requires it.
