Your birth certificate, translated and certified — done right the first time
Need your birth certificate translated for USCIS, a passport application or any other U.S. authority? EKO 4 delivers a certified birth-certificate translation prepared to USCIS requirements: a complete, word-for-word translation by a sworn human translator, with a signed certificate of translation accuracy on official company letterhead, finished with our wet stamp — and backed by our 100% acceptance guarantee. Express 24-hour service is available, from any of our 72 languages.
The birth certificate is the document we translate most, and it is where a single mistranslated name or date causes the biggest delays — so every certificate is translated by an accredited linguist and reviewed by a native-speaking proofreader before certification. Since 1991, and on every certificate, we strive to be the most affordable, the most accurate, providing the best quality of service. Receive it digitally, by mail with wet stamps, or pick it up at one of our offices.
What USCIS requires from a birth-certificate translation
USCIS rules (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)) are strict but simple — every certified translation we deliver meets them all:
- A complete, word-for-word English translation — every entry must be translated, including stamps, seals, registrar annotations and handwritten notes — nothing summarized, nothing skipped.
- The translator’s signed certification — a statement that the translator is competent in both languages and that the translation is accurate and complete, with name, signature, address and date.
- An independent, professional translator — USCIS does not accept translations made by you or your family members — the translator must be an impartial third party.
- A legible copy of the original attached — the translation is submitted together with a copy of your certificate — never send your original document to USCIS.
- Notarization only when the receiver asks — USCIS itself does not require notarization — the certification statement is enough. Consulates and some state agencies do; we add notarization in the same order when needed.
